Thieves Essential Oil Blend Thieves Essential Oil Blend is exclusive to Young Living Essential Oils. Although it is pure enough to be taken internally, I use it most frequently with inhalation therapy. Simply boil water and pour into a large bowl. Add a few drops of Thieves oil to the water and cover the bowl with a towel. Carefully, place head under the towel, keeping head and bowl covered to minimize the amount of heat that escapes. KEEP EYES CLOSED! The thieves oil may sting if you open your eyes. Inhale deeply and allow the essential oil to enter your body through your respiratory system. *Science lesson for the day: Your sinuses do not get much blood flow. So if you have a sinus infection or a cold that is very much in your facial areas you cannot get to it via blood. Translation: Anything you take by mouth, gets digested, absorbed into your blood, and then travels via blood to the area it is needed – aka sinuses. BUT since there is not much blood flow to the sinuses, it really does not help that much. Snorting the stuff up your nose as in the inhalation…now THAT is direct treatment! (I am talking about the inhalation of the oil vapor…nothing else.) Thieves® was created based on research about four thieves in France who covered themselves with cloves, rosemary, and other aromatics while robbing plague victims. This proprietary essential oil blend was university tested for its cleansing abilities. It is highly effective in supporting the immune system and good health.* Thieves® oil blend is an integral ingredient in Thieves® Household Cleaner, Thieves® Spray, Thieves® Wipes, Thieves® Lozenges, Thieves® Dentarome Plus™ and Thieves® Dentarome Ultra™ toothpastes, and Thieves® Fresh Essence Plus™ Mouthwash. EarthKosher Certified. How to Use For dietary, aromatic, or topical use. When using as a supplement, dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid such as goat’s or rice milk.
